The Captain's Boil® Packaging Design

Using the opportunity to create a new set of packaging for take out to increase brand awareness, the packaging direction was made in consideration of the environment. The appropriate design decision is to have graphics printed on the kraft stock material. The use of the material helps reinforce the brand of being playful and crafty, knocking out two goals with one stone.

Families with children who are busy life and  attracted by idea of bringing the fun feasting experience from the restaurant's exciting atmosphere to the comfort of their own home.

Tone:

The tone comes from the playful world formed behind the life of a pirate in relation with his passion for seafood boils.

Objective


Throughout the year, customers have been ordering take out food more often. In response to this, we want to extend the experience to the package guest take home to enjoy their seafood fest. 


Competitive Analysis

The Captain's Boil's prominent competitor is "Red Lobster". Respectively, the two have very clear differences, where Red Lobster's target audience prefer the simple butter and seafood, a more traditional taste pallet. In the other spectrum, The Captain's Boil provides a fusion of flavors influenced from different parts of the world. Besides the flavor, The Captain's Boil offers a youthful atmosphere. That is something we want to translate to the take out packaging.
