1kGrizzy is an emerging Canadian artist in the rap genre. The artist is driven with creating music to address deep subject matters in a light hearted tone. Ultimately, he wants to lessen the stress of the listeners with their problems in relation to the lyrics. As a designer, he needed me to help visualize what each track may look like through his lens.

The Ask
The talented rap artist has been continuously producing new singles and is in need of music covers to convey the individual singles and help attract new listeners on all music platforms.
The creative decisions all began with listening to the sample of the developed track before the idealization begins. The process consists of discussing the possible art directions and couple iterations to present the ideas. During the development the artist does not want every cover and track to feel the same, but the visual direction all share the balance between realism, represented with photographs and the dream life, represented with illustrations.
